The Breed

When I saw the poster for this movie I thought "Yay! A Wes Craven werewolf movie!" Though what I got for my 86 minutes was a craptastic display of crap. I had seen many of his works before, The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, The Wishmaster franchise, etc. As always I was pleasantly pleased the amount of gore and craziness that Craven had shown me. This however, I will never get that 86 minutes back.
If you're reading this and haven't watched "The Breed," do yourself a favor and pick up something else.
In truth the only reason I gave this movie 1 gloom, was the smoking hot Michelle Rodrigez
<<< ALERT! >>> Spoilers Ahead! <<< ALERT! >>>
Open movie with man and woman on a sail boat, coupled with the worst campy acting, come upon a "deserted" island. Of course they dock at the island and the woman goes ashore where she is dragged kicking and screaming deeper into the island and all we hear is the sounds of a dogs growl. (spooooky)
Cut to our main cast flying, that's right flying, to the island for a relaxing getaway. Once they land they do their relaxing via alcohol (which everyone knows is bad in horror flicks). Not to mention the very apparent cliché token black guy, bad boy, nice guy, virgin, and hot chick are our players in this debaucery.
After watching the cast in their revelry, they are attacked by dogs. By this point I had thought that the movie was going to pick up, sadly I was wrong. Another 45 minutes or so of the cast being chased around by seemingly angry attack dogs they begin questioning how and why.
Another 20 minutes or so the nice guy remembers that on the island is a military research center that did experiments on dogs (wtf guys...).
The movie ends with 3 out of the 5 vacationers escaping by the boat from the begining, only to be safely out to sea, and somehow some of those dogs had snuck in, they go to attack our cast, and roll credits. Seriously.
