The Gunslinger. Some of you may have read it, many of you probably haven't. I didn't until just a few years ago. It's the first in a 7 epic volume series, The Dark Tower, by Stephen King. In this series King creates for us a world that is both horrorfying and magical. This series concluded in 2004, then a few years later Marvel gives us the opportunity to finally put visuals to our imaginations.

Written by Robin Furth and Peter David, art by Jae Lee and Richard Isanove, they bring us Stephen King's Mid-World in it's earlier years, before the man in black fled across the desert. In this first Tradeback, The Gunslinger Born, it recounts a tale that Roland told in the novels, about him challenging Cort for his right to call himself Gunslinger, and what's happens after.

This was amazing! Even if you haven't read the Dark Tower series before, this comic is still worth reading. Then you, like me, will also be hooked on this piece of literary awesomeness. Being the first in a set of six tradebacks this promises to be one hell of a ride, say thankee sai.

nWod Inspirations
The gunslingers themselves, there structure sort of like knights, would be a great Legacy for a mage to take. Also there's a thinny in this book. Something like a verge meets a living entity. Last but certainly not least, the Bends o' Rainbow, also called Maerlyn's Grapefruit. It's basically a cursed crystal ball, of awesome!

Normally, you would get to see spoilers for my reviews. However I'm not going to do that to you. I want you to read it, to be drawn into it. See you in Mid-World!
